Hi Kymm,

I just made my first batch of GGS with a $30 Oster blender and had the same problem as you.

I ended up chewing my first glass, which was rather gross to be honest. My second batch I ended up putting all of the ingredients into the blender, but after everything was chopped up - not blended - I took half of it out and put it in the freezer.

I then added ice and ended up taking another half of it out, blending the remaining, then reblending that last half again so that it actually resembled a smoothie and not a gelatinous puree.

I also used a straw, as separation occurs, and it helps with the texture.

Hello! I love your recipe. If I don't have romaine lettuce sometimes I put more spinach or spinach and kale. I have been drinking this my whole pregnancy. Of course I also eat healthy as well. I'm 35 and we just had all our blood work done with this pregnancy...I was really happy when the periontologist looked over my results and told me I'm really healthy, the baby's extremely healthy and also I can continue to have more children if I keep up with my lifestyle!

Hey Kim,

I was wondering if it's okay for me to be adding protein powder to my GGS every morning?

I use Garden Of Life Beyond Organic RAW Protein Formula or Navitas Naturals Raw Hemp Protein Powder...sometimes a little of both. Does that take away from the detoxifying properties of the GGS? Should I have my protein powder later in the day? Also, how long should I wait to eat other foods if I have a GGS with the protein powder in it? Thanks so much!

Hi Kimberly,

I suffer from IBS, and am curious as to whether this smoothie will irritate my stomach. I am really interested in trying it, but am too afraid to try, especially because I have to go to work early in the morning and this would be the first thing I put into my stomach.

Thank you!

hello Kimberly,

my sister recently introduced me to your website and I was wondering what your thoughts were on smoothies you can pick up at the market.

Specifically, Naked Juice: Green Machine or bolthouse farms.

Making juices or smoothies at home is great, but as I've read on many sites, they don't keep for very long. So you can't make multiple servings and be set for the work week. There is also the expense involved.

I understand if you cannot sponsor a particular brand, I just wondered if there was something available that might be comparable to your Glowing Green Smoothie.

Thanks!
